Celavista Group · Nature & Beyond
Forty years of science from nature. Now a group.
A family of science companies built on one conviction: nature, combined with human knowledge, can solve problems that neither can solve alone.
The record
Forty years of work before the first press release.
Celavista has manufactured for more than thirty years. Innovation always came first: the aim has been the best product possible, or nothing. Every figure below is the group's own, and every designation can be checked in its public register.
The method · Nature + Human Knowledge
Nature is the most advanced laboratory on Earth. It has been running experiments for 4,540 million years.
We do not try to copy it in the lab, and we do not reverse‑engineer it. We observe it deeply, with the tools of physics and chemistry, and apply what we understand. We call this Naturemimetic Science. The laws of physics and chemistry explain how life is partly created; they let us build products that are fast, safe, self‑regulated, adapted, and ready to evolve.
Energy is the limiting factor
Protein markers and gene transcription are profoundly limited by the bioenergetic activity of each tissue. Our premise differs from today's genetic and epigenetic focus: the limiting factor is energy, which follows the laws of physics, as described by Peter Mitchell's chemiosmotic theory.
The cell's energy engine
For nearly 40 years we have studied the mitochondrion as the basis of the body's responses to life, degenerative disease and ageing, and put that knowledge into practice in our products. It generates cellular power by breathing oxygen and producing water.
Physics, energy and lipids
Physics and energy govern life. They condition DNA, evolution, adaptation, ageing and the response of every cell. The lipids of all living organisms are governed by the thermodynamics of their fatty acids within their environment.
Seeing for the first time
Every so often, humanity sees something it had never seen. Our work happens at those scales.

Robert Hooke looks at a sliver of cork and draws small chambers. He calls them cells.

Wilhelm Röntgen photographs the bones of his wife's hand. Medicine sees inside the body for the first time.
Physik. Institut Würzburg · public domain
Santiago Ramón y Cajal draws, by hand, a Purkinje cell. The brain turns out to be made of individual cells.
Instituto Cajal · public domain
George Palade sees the folds of the cell's energy engine in 1952. This is how it looks today under the electron microscope.
TEM, Dartmouth EM Facility · public domain
IBM Research images a single pentacene molecule, atom by atom. Chemistry becomes visible.
IBM Research Zurich
Researchers in Ottawa and Rome reconstruct the shared state of two photons. It looks like a yin‑yang.

One philosophy, several fields. Each company applies the same formula to a different challenge.
The structure above is a purine ring: the double ring at the core of ATP, the molecule in which the mitochondrion stores the cell's energy. It has nine atoms. So does the group: six in the hexagon, three in the pentagon that Celavista and Naturemimetix share with Aircuretech.
